Major OVA – World Series – 01

Hey there. Who’d think they would see Major released by Saizen again?

One day, sangofe (I) asked blakbunnie27, the translator who translated for Umai about the status of their project. He said they had no editor, so I suggested to ask AMS, our good old major editor for a comeback editing Major World Series. He agreed, Timescar said all right to typeset, Juggen ok’d making a karaoke and QC, and in addition we got help with qc from limpakos, and kazuki. I myself timed and qc’d, and the result of out teamwork has brought a result we all can feel proud of.

This is a two-episode OVA, so stay tuned for the next and final episode. ^^
Also, for everyone wondering, this OVA takes place between Season 6 and the OVA “Message”, also released by umai.

Takane no Jitensha (joint with Hitode Fansubs)

Hello. Yes, we know, this is way overdue. Actually, it was dropped a couple of years ago, but Hitode suddenly came to us and asked if we couldn’t finish and get this released. So we did. The subs have been polished quite a bit, and we’re pretty happy about the final result save the crappy video, however, we couldn’t find anything better. So take it or leave it.

Oh yeah, the show’s about some guy with his bike. It’s also about his sister, a raccoon dog, and a magic fox. I hope some of you can enjoy. Peace.

Captain Tsubasa J – 37-38

You didn’t believe the next release would contain not only one, but two Captain Tsubasa J episode, did you? Well, it does!

As for the content of the episodes, episode 37 is my favorite episode so far: Aoi Shingo gets to shine in a game 😀  38’s pretty awesome too as it has the cyborg Santa v.s Tsubasa.

Honestly, I much prefer this CT series over 2k2, and I really like our subbing speed too 😀 This speed is possible due to the fact that kokujin-kun both translates and edit, KmE or I time, then Juggen, I or KmE “time in” the signs. And we cut down on the QC process too by having only Kaiser and me QC’ing, plus koku doing the final check. So yeah, this subbing process has not much to do with CT2K2 where we have different translators and editors… people with less time on their hands… so don’t be surprised if CTJ gets finished way faster than 2K2.

The release pictures should say it all… Finaly we’re at the final game of the tournament; Japan vs. Germany. Who will win this epic battle? I sure won’t tell you, so go ahead and watch 🙂 By the way, SHS have their own gmail for recruiting now, so please e-mail them at SHSTaka@gmail.com or go to their irc recruit channel: #shinsen-recruits@irc.rizon.net  if you want to help — all they really need now is a translator to get going.

If you want to help with this project become even faster, another quality checker wouldn’t hurt.

Ashita no Joe – 20

Juggen said “someone write a newspost”, so this is what I’m doing. This has taken way too much effort and crap to get released (i.e; same ep encoded 4 times), but here it is, and hopefully we’ll all be able to enjoy some more releases in a beautiful tomorrow, hopefully… But seriously, this episode is great, and I suggest you to rewatch from 17 and up because the episodes are somewhat related and all kick some major Joe ass. Oh, and this is now a joint with our friends Hokuto no Gun.
