Day 5 of Saizen’s 13 Days of Christmas brings us Kuroko’s Basketball – 41 on Blu-Ray! Check this one out as we saw Kagami’s awakening in the last episode wasn’t quite enough to bring Seirin all the way back against Touou… They still need Kuroko. But Touou has something up their sleeve as they have switched Imayoshi onto him and look to stop Seirin’s comeback in its tracks. Will Kuroko and Seirin take this lying down? How will they respond? Grab this one quick and find out!

It’s baaack! Saizen’s 13 Days of Christmas

Hells 720p & 1080p [Blu-Ray]

Hello, one and all! We’ve teased it once or twice so far, and it’s with great jolly ol’ joy I get to announce and present you with our first release for Saizen’s 13 Days of Christmas: Hells on Blu-Ray in 720p & 1080p. For those who don’t know, Saizen used to run a “13 Days of Christmas” waaaaaay back in the day. Here’s how it works. Starting Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th) and running through to Epiphany Eve (January 5th), we will be releasing at least one thing every… single… day.

For the first day, it is with the most utmost pleasure we present to you the 2008 feature length movie from Madhouse Studios, Hells. It clocks in at around 1 hour 57 minutes and some change (that’s like 6 tv episodes in one release! #value).

This is a project that started way back in August 2014. The base script (if it can even be called that at this point) was taken from the official Blu-Ray release in Japan. The team completely overhauled the script, typeset almost everything (some of what we did is actually pretty crazy thinking back about it now), retimed it (obviously :p), encoded it, and put it through a very rigorous QC process.

The movie itself is about a girl named Linne Amagane and her adventure in… you can guess where the majority of the movie takes place from the title, lol. Anyway, I don’t really want to spoil it for people, so give it a watch as you wait for good ol’ St. Nick to come through tonight. They play a game of volleyball during it, so… itqualifiesasSaizensportsanimeftw!

And… lastly, here’s the roll call for all of those who lent a hand on this project. Thank you.

Translation Checking & Editing: AMS (you suck, AMS!)
Timing: sangofe (big ups, as always) & ninjacloud (despite not being his cup of tea, he plowed through the first half of the movie. Thank you!)
Typesetting: zegond (amazing work, zeggie-zeg ^^;) & AMS (you suck so hard, AMS!)
Karaoke: Timescar (this may have been the last thing he did for the group) & AMS (Did I mention AMS sucks?)
Encoding: Your_Mom (if you wanna blame someone for the file size, you know who to blame… your mom)
QC: CP (RIP – Never forget), Calyrica (Thank yoouuu in a Hotline Bling voice), konnakude (See! It’s done!), Falsedawn (I hate you and your light novel length QC report)

So enjoy the anime folks and we’ll see you again tomorrow with a big surprise and where we’ll be running toward the stage of your dreams!!! <— Not so subtle massive hint

PS: Oh, one more thing! I thought I’d include a lil’ ol’ poem for y’all to get you in the spirit if you weren’t already, because I’m a literature nerd.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the Zone
Not a connection was stirring, not even my own;
The stockings were hung by the computers with care,
In hopes that Saizen soon would be there;
And little baseball girls were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of the stage of their dreams danc’d in their heads.

Yawara – 10 (BD)

Yo!

So it’s December already and Christmas is just around the corner. Saizen may have been known for its Christmas releasing sprees… but whether or not there’s a release spree incoming, we decided we couldn’t keep this one away from you. 😛

Hope you’ll enjoy it and that there’s more in store. ^^

Kuroko’s Basketball – 38-39

Kuroko no Keredo - 38 - BD.720p [CBF07F6B]_001_32177

Hey, folks. AMS from Team Kuroko over at Saizen here again with the next two episodes of Kuroko’s Basketball for you!

The Winter Cup begins with this double release as Seirin looks to avenge their previous loss to Aomine’s Touou team in the first game of the Winter Cup! We get our first real look at Akashi, the point guard captain of the Generation of Miracles, in 38 as the opening ceremonies of the Winter Cup take place.

In episode 39, the game against Touou starts to get its legs as we get to see some of Kuroko’s growth as well as Hyuga’s. We also get the new opening and ending themes in this one, so I hope you enjoy them. I really like the songs this season, so it was really fun to do these and see KmE work some of his magic. I hope you like them as much as I did.

The release of 39 sees us hit the halfway mark of not only the season, but the series itself as well (There’s a “x.5” episode every season. So while there are only 75 episodes in the series, there are really technically 78 when you include the “x.5” episodes). I want to take a second to personally thank everyone in Saizen who has supported me in getting these episodes out. There’s no way I could’ve done this all on my own. So, thank you (in no particular order), sangofe, muyg, ninjacloud, KmE, zegond, Your_Mom, Eternal_Blizzard, triviper, and Badskater. We couldn’t have gotten here without each and every one of you.

Don’t worry. We aren’t stopping here, folks. We have more coming and on the way.

Enjoy!

Kuroko’s Basketball – 37

Kuroko no Keredo - 37 - BD.1080p [365E6970]_001_31997

Fiending for more Kuroko? Don’t worry. We got you covered with the next ep of Kuroko’s Basketball on Blu-Ray for you! Episode 37 is now available for your viewing pleasure 😉

With the Winter Cup preliminaries over, we move forward with the story as Seirin takes a few minutes to take a breather at a hot spring before their all-out war with the Generation of Miracles takes place at the Winter Cup! Who will they play next? What sort of shenanigans  will they get into at the hot springs (Hm, I wonder :P)? Check this one out to find out.

Lastly, I wanted to take a minute to show you guys something. This is the original frame 31977 of this episode. You will notice a small change I made in the episode while you watch it if you play close attention. 10 internet points for the person who points it out first in the comments section, lol. Anyway, moving on, do you notice anything strange about this frame as it is right now? Hint: Look at how they spell the city names. Yeah, that’s right. They couldn’t even spell the name of a city like Los Angeles correctly… Nevermind the word “skies” or “continental.” You might be wondering why I’m bringing this up, and I’m glad you’re wondering. It means you’re thinking and are involved. I like that. The reason is very simple. If you’ve watched Season 3 already, you’ll notice that they spell Izuki’s name as “Iduki” throughout the season. We won’t be doing that. It’s wrong. I’ll go over why it’s wrong when we get there, but before we get there, I just wanted to point out how unreliable Japanese anime makers are when writing things in English. They can’t even spell a famous city’s name correctly, so keep this in mind when I bring up the issues with “Iduki” in Season 3 🙂

Anyway, rant over. Enjoy the anime folks!
