Major Season 1 – 07 720p

Major - 07 workraw [BEF8A864]_001_12405
Hello again, one and all. Here’s the next episode of Major Season 1 for you! After the crushing events that occurred in the last episode, we skip forward and join Honda Goro as the 9-year-old version of himself enters the fourth grade, where we are introduced to a few characters that will be sticking around throughout the series. Goro’s also finally become old enough to join a little league team now, so we get to see the coach we were introduced to back in episode 3.

The beat rolls on in this one as the narrative rebuilds itself and carries on, but that doesn’t mean that this is a throw away episode. There’s a lot going on, and we are introduced to a lot of characters that we will be spending a lot of time with not only during this season, but in seasons to come as well.

Anyway, I hope y’all like it. Enjoy!

PS. I want to personally thank the nyaa mod and whoever (if anyone) spoke to them about the Kuroko Blooper torrents that were released last night. Because they got restored, I had the time to finish up this release for everyone today. So, thank you. You’re the reason this release happened today.

  1. Hi, I wanna report that the link to magnerobo ga-keen, on the “project – ongoing list” takes to major season 1.

    only that, great work…thanks!

  2. I just want to thank all of you working on this! Its my favorite series and you guys are the only ones doing 720p for season 1!
When is the next episode coming?

  3. Ah, darn! Nevermind, the subs here are BY FAR the best i’ve ever seen, quality and accuracy wise.

Glad to see you guys back, when your website was down I got worried!
    Keep up the great work!!

  4. sangofe and I are 2 of the biggest Major fans around (I’ve went to Kanagawa to see where Goro was born :p). This will get done…. even if it kills us πŸ˜‰

  5. I would just like to report that the link to “Major Season 1” on the “Projects – Ongoing list” takes you to Magnerobo Ga-Keen.

BTW im a huge fan of your work so far in Major, its great to finally be able to watch the first season in HD!

    P.S
Do you know why no one else has subbed Major season 1/other seasons that aren’t HD, in HD?

  6. Because the HD broadcast that the HD raws originate from were aired years after the original subs came out would be the reason why.

Thanks for letting me know about that link. I’ve fixed it a number of times now, but it seems to keep reverting back once in a while for no particular reason… Maybe it had something to do with the website reboot. Dunno.

  7. Ah, I see!

No problem for notifying you about the link!
I feel that Major 2nd (the manga) has brought a boost in popularity for major (that’s how I found out about it)

  8. OMG! You guys sub major?!?!?! I watched your kuroko subs and I really enjoyed them so I decided to check your website!

i didnt know you subbed my favorite anime! In HD too!!

Cant wait for the next episode!!!!!

  9. It takes the team about 15-20 total hours. 10-12 of those hours are done by me. That’s for an episode that already has the OP/ED done.

  10. I just downloaded episode 4 and there doesn’t seem to be any eng sub. Was I supposed to download the subs separately?

  11. No, I don’t think so. I might redo Season 2 & 5 though, but there are a lot of other things I need to do before that so there’s really no point in talking about it.

  12. Thank you for giving the first season the definitive release. Watched Major years ago and it’s probably the best sports anime I’ve seen.

  13. Dang.

Ive always hoped to watch the earlier seasons in HD! Do you have the raws for them? and are they hard to track down?

  14. @Alex, I don’t have raws for all of them, and, yes, they are pretty much impossible to find now.

@Jesse, did you read the entire comments thread here? I’ve already answered that question. I’d like to keep things from repeating themselves over and over πŸ™‚

  15. No worries, Jesse.

AlexTHEGREAT, they did do more than one run of re-airing the show in HD. I think the cappers only capped it once though.

  16. Oh! Hopefully in the future you will end up subbing all of the seasons!

I personally prefer saizen subs over mjn! Especially if they are in that delicious HD πŸ™‚

  17. yo this aint working for me? is it on my end or urs?

and thanks for the hd subs man, i tried to get into this before and like all the others are 480p, cant take it.

cant wait for the next burst of major releases lmao

  18. Yo i figured out my problem, i didnt have cccp on this new computer. It wont let me go to their site either, it just says “this site cannot be reached”

i tried commenting on the playback help part but like there is no place for me to write my comment.

  19. Can’t tell you anything about Christmas, sorry.

I can tell you I’ve been working on the next ep of Major almost all week, and it’s pretty close to being done πŸ˜‰

  20. (Sorry i dont know where else to post this and this seems to be the most popular place)

Is there anyway I can download your stuff as a .mp4 file?
I wanna download and put onto a hardrive and play off of my xbox one

  21. Short answer: Not that I know of, no.

Long answer: You can extract the fonts and script from the mkv file (you can extract the video and audio streams too :P) and reencode to whatever profile you need for any hardware you have. I imagine someone has probably made an encoder gui to do it for an xbox one. I don’t know though.

  22. The file is your standard fansub mkv for the most part.

I get the feeling you don’t really know your way around these files. I really suggest checking out the forums at doom9 (http://forum.doom9.org/). These people deal with this sort of thing all the time.

The thing you’re probably going to need to do is hard encode the subtitle track onto the video stream for playback. I could go into details, but I have a feeling I might be talking over your head.

The basic idea is that right now these files have what are known as “softsubs”, and thus have a separate subtitle stream you can turn on or off. What you will probably need to do is merge the subs with the video, effectively “burning” the subs into the video stream.

We don’t provide a file like that for a few reasons that I don’t feel we really need to go over.

  23. yo i decided to just forget playing on xbox

i downloaded episode 1 of Major season 1 and i then downloaded cccp and followed the instructions.

How do I play the anime episode? it says its .mkv.torrent

  24. Um, dude… Do you not know how to use torrents? It’s no big deal if you don’t (use a torrent program). It’s just starting to feel like you’re trolling now…

  25. Okay.

A torrent file is not the video file. It’s a file that connects you to a swarm of other people who are trying to get or have the file, so that you can download it. It’s a method of distribution.

So, to use a torrent file you need a torrent client. There are a ton out there so just search it on google and pick one. Once you have a torrent client installed on your computer, open the torrent file with it. At that point, it should ask you what location you want to save the file to or whatever. After that, the actual file will start downloading.

  26. thanks so much, sorry for the trouble, I used to just watch anime online but couldnt find any good sites so i decided to start downloading!

do you recommend any torrent clients?

  27. If it’s seeding, it means it’s only uploading the file. That means you already have the file. You just need to open it and watch it now (as long as you have CCCP and all that taken care of already).

  28. THANKS SO MUCH!

and in the end i managed to make it so I can watch it on my xbox too!!!

Just downloaded episode 1 of major! heard great things

  29. It will never finish seeding. Seeding is just uploading once the download has been completed. It is really helpful to us if you seed (as it is sharing your bandwidth to give another person a copy of the file instead of us having to provide the bandwidth), but once you have a share ratio of 1+, I’d really just turn the torrent off or remove it from the client.

That’s awesome the you got it to work the way you want! Would you care to share how you did it here so that someone else won’t ask the same question? The one thing I’d be worried about using an encoder/transcoder GUI to do it is making sure you have the typesetting fonts installed on your computer.

  30. I just downloaded the VLC player on xbox (which came out last month) which accepts .mkv with subtitles separate!! You just need to either trasnfer the video onto a usb or hard drive and plug it into your xbox or it can give you directions on how to do it by wifi!
