There’s been a lot of shittalks lately as we haven’t released Miyuki for the last what? Two months?
Realize that’s we don’t fansub for your fucking enjoyment but our own. Also, as many of you probably know, some periods you will be busy with all kinds of things, and that goes for us too, and I’ve had a lot.
Also, when you guys sit and watch one of our episodes, you can just lay back and enjoy it. Meanwhile, about 5-6 people put maybe 1-3 hours each into that very episode, in the same free time you used to do absolutely nothing. Don’t get spoiled and learn to appreciate what others do for you, and think of what you can do for others. There’s no reason to attack others; just like the idiom goes: “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
As we use our free time to fansub things others can also enjoy, you can at least show some respect in return. Imagine if all fansub groups kept their episodes to themselves, since guess what, we don’t need you, and we don’t get paid in any way, it’s simply us sharing our efforts with you. Think about that the next time you are about to throw up your garbage comments here.
Luckily you are a minority among all the nice people that appreciate what we do. So thank you, everyone, who always cheer us up!

Thanks for new episodes.
Thanks for episodes, nice rant too.
Oh, your poor Fansub-guys, I’ve almost start crying.
There are bad people who are bullying you because you start something and than just stopped.
Real Life goes first, but a little bit of Information e. g. what’s going on and when we will see an new episode would have been nice.
And by the way
“Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
Think about a dog who got food only once in 2 months.
This dog will bite at everything that looks like food, even it’s the hand of it’s owner !
@Trantor: What gives you the impression about entitlement and that we’re obliged to feed you on regular intervals? I have to earn my rice myself, LOL.
@Trantor: Think about it like this, you’re not our fucking dog, you’re the neighbor’s. Sorry, but you’re just as bad and delusional as all the other dipshits, sad truth.
I don’t know why people are making a fuss anyway. We only started subbing it just over a year ago and that’s 22 episodes out now, which means there’s been an episode out an average of once every two and a half weeks. That’s a helluva lot quicker than most of the other shows we’re doing (which I’m probably stalling) >.>
LOL, FalseDawn the staller isn’t even responsible for Miyuki subbing 🙂
But I’m sure Trantor-sama has spent thousands of hours on fansubbing, as well as a bit more in USD (Yes, I and several other have done exactly that), so he or she may have some reason for those unreasonable entitlement feelings… Not to mention that people sometimes run into personal stuff so horrible that you don’t even want to know. I assure you.
You’re not a customer. Fansubbers are donating to you. You don’t question donators. You may make friendly and constructive comments, and even disagree, but don’t ever take anything for granted.
Patience is a virtue… XD
IRL, donors who act too “high-and-mighty” do get excluded from the club they donate to.
hi i love Miyuki and i don’t care how long it takes to get Complete just as long as it gets Complete. I do not watch much sub shows and i watch Miyuki thanks for all the hard work
Why our Dragon is happy up there !!!
Damn must watch now. Thanks ♥ FroZen ♥
@A-Style: First time I’ve heard of the party getting the donations, complaining about them not being frequent enough. We just sit here, giving u free donations, not asking for anything in return, yet you guys feel entitled to even more and bigger donations. There’s something seriously wrong with you people.

What club have you gracefully let us be part of, and what benefits have we got? 😛
It never ceases to amaze me how many dickish comments viewers make toward fansubbers. You’d think by now people would be aware how Saizen operates.
This is especially true for a series like Miyuki which has hardly been subbed at a fast rate over the years. A 2 month wait is nothing. Sometimes there is a 6+ month gap between subs.
It’s also clear there’s no set schedule for these. They’re done when they’re done. Period. Complaining or asking asinine questions like “is it dead?” isn’t going to change thing. Whether a title gets released sooner or later is pure luck in regards to many factors like RL, free time, etc.
Actually I’m surprised this got released so soon after that previous Miyuki comment section got bombed with complaints. It’s good to know the Saizen isn’t spiteful even though they have good reason to be.
Ah, if we let it actually get to us, Joe H, we would have given up years ago 😀
Thanks for the subs. I am glad to know the rude people hasn’t ruined your enjoyment and you are still willing to share the show.
I can understand the bitterness, but hey, fans of this group’s fansubs can (and should) consider themselves lucky; this isn’t like one of those mecha show-subbing groups that desperately struggle just to release one show a year (at most, especially for poor Luurah, regardless of what anyone thinks of his tastes for the era he’s covering).
Of course, there’s also other cases for other genres, but the point remains. While waiting can be difficult, I’m still grateful in the end. After all, there’s still plenty of shows to watch out there in the meantime.
With that all said, hang in there Saizen crew and don’t give up!
How did I get mentioned here? o_O
“poor Luurah” is a part of Saizen now, so it’s double funny. 😛
Great, thanks you 🙂
Well we’re not gonna call it quits, since we still enjoy anime and fansubbing. I just think it’s really sad that so many people nowadays are raised into spoiled dipshits with no respect for others. What happened to generous, humble, and caring people?
It’s not just fans of Saizen, it’s the complete society breaking down. People are egocentric, and believe they are the center of the universe. Certain “fans” here remind me of all the bad infesting this world. I’m steadily losing faith in humanity…

This happens all the time in college sports in US. I know the financial side of college sports is a mess, but I do see enough similarities between college sports and fansubbing – groups of people just sitting there, providing entertainment of their own free will, not getting paid, while team admins manage donor clubs (with preferential seating for bigger donations) while the donors demand wins from the team. Donors complaining that teams don’t win enough – that’s like fans complaining that subbers don’t release enough. Donors who complain too much about lack of wins, and try to fudge the system, they do get kicked out of the club.
Jug, you’re Swedish, if I recall correctly. I don’t know how Sweden manages its sports finances, but in US, it’s a mess. And to me, it does look like the subber/fan situation is coming to resemble the athlete/donor situation that I described.
To quote Himekawa from Beelzebub, you gotta think big.
I completely agree with you, juggen.
So what you’re saying, A-Style, with your analogy is that the fans are the donors and we should kick them out of our fansubbing “club” when they get too demanding? 😀
I take it you’re asking us to put your name top of that list, hm? (Though I’m pretty sure to be a donor, you have to actually, you know, donate something…)
Plus, A-Style missed the whole point in Juggen’s description: “not asking for anything in return.”
A-style, are you a retard perhaps? Get your facts straight. WE are the DONORS, yet don’t demand anything in return. The one demanding stuff is YOU. Holy shit you are stupid. >_< It's like a homeless who gets a jacket so he won't freeze in the cold, but the jacket isn't fancy enough so he complains about it. DAFUQ PS. If we were indeed the TEAM, then you wouldn't be a donor like FD explained, since you would, um... need to donate something to be a donor. You're merely a spectator, getting free entertainment. The analogy with the homeless though, explains the situation correctly.
Juggen, you guys are too fast on Miyuki! I want it slower! How dare you release them this fast?! >:(
I’m definitely not listening to you! Miyuki is gonna get released whether you like it or not, Mister!
@Luurah: Well, you do need the street cred, given how overlooked your work tends to be.
KudosForce’s got the hang of this, understanding the force in kudos.
hey um.. do you guys still need help with AnJ?
Do we even still do that show? :S
(Actually, you’ll be glad to know that everything’s filled on the AnJ front, it just needs to shimmy on down the line a bit. I expect progress will happen sooner or later)
i really feel like making some things clear here:
this is how most big fansubs work in themselves
big fansubs are like USA
they have certain leader(s) but they do projects in groups
they’re united minigroups. in case of saizen, united minigroups of saizen (UMGS)
even tho they obey the same rules and gather under the same name
a fansub may have over 70 staff, over 10 translators…but they work in groups and they choose their projects based on different things.
1- their own interest (its because we should enjoy the thing we work on, there’s no obligation) it plays a very important role in choosing a project
2- the leaders and colleagues..well its obvious, people have different personalities and different policies so some people like them and some people don’t. its the real world. so people who work in a minigroup over a project, should “get along” with each other…simply because no one likes to argue over silly things and they have to have respect toward each other and most importantly have faith in the talent, work and style of each other.
example: some translators just don’t like the style of some editors. it doesn’t mean those editors are bad, their style is the thing that doesn’t match with the taste of the tl and also it can happen in a reverse order…, some leaders are too pushover, some don’t, some expect to see a work done in a due given to staff, some don’t, some are more considerate, some are not, some cant manage to work with a staff who nags a lot, some don’t care…so lazy and busy people usually go for the one who doesn’t bother much with delays…that aside, yes, in a fansub we CAN have people who hate each other. they basically just don’t work over a same project. they don’t ruin the whole group for their personal grudges (cuz we’re grown ups)
3- timezone…it can be problematic when people are working on an ongoing show and they want fast release. a good example is people in europe and people in australia…their timezone difference is so big that its so hard for all of them to be on channel in a certain time. when its evening in europe, aussie people are experiencing the early hours of their next day…so on a fast release ongoing show, this big time difference can be a problem, cuz they simply cant be available in the same times
4-speed of release…we are people, we’re mainly grown ups and it means we have jobs, university, collage and the amount of free time we posses is different. a slow project is mainly consisted of busy people (they might be busy with their life or busy with other projects)
5-heavyness of the work…heavy works need more staff than normal projects. a usual saizen minigroup is consisted of an encoder, translator, a translation checker, an editor, a timer, a typesetter and the minimum of 4 quality checkers.
in some other projects we might need up to 2 typesetters, 2 to 3 timers and up to 6 QCs. and they work on periods (like kuroko, kme typesets even episode and i typeset odd episodes). some qcs might not be present when we need them and the other 2 will take over…of course, a long project also needs more staff, for example 2 translators and 10 QCs…and they usually change their shift in the process
so among this much of staff, there are some staff who never work with each other (they might not have the chance or they simply chose not to, or simply cuz they work in different projects)
but in the end…we are humans and sometimes our life doesn’t just go on how we like to. we might face illnesses, we might end up in hospital for a while, we might get new jobs and get busy, we might become depressed cuz of life hardships, broken relationships, loosing loved ones, failing exams and such, we might get backache, headache, knee aches (these are normal health issues between people who spend lots of time behind PC..guess who? we the fansubbers are among this group)…and yes we, like everyone of you have the right to say fuck fansubbing lets leave it for a while…yes we can. and we expect you guys to be more understanding..because fansubbing is not a job. we don’t have any responsibility over you guys…ur simply not the clients of our organization…and no one pays us a penny for what we do. people do free works only when they like it or enjoy doing it
Saizen was up for 10 years now. *CAN YOU IMAGINE WORKING FOR 10 YEARS WITHOUT BEING PAID A SINGLE PENNY?* guess what?..we already did…
we are being paid by the single “thank you” of you guys and we simply ignore the nags and fuck yous which some of you give us sometimes…the hell with that…we work for fun, not because we need your “thank you”s
so in the end: don’t ask things like this:
Q: Can you ask your other tl/tlc/editor/qc/ts/etc to get over this and that project?
A: No cuz swapping staffs in minigroups is not as easy as you think. (read above) it rarely happens…usually happens after long negotiations with the targeted staff (which usually fails)
Q: Can you release Faster?
A: We like to finish off a project more than every single of you guys…seriously everyone of us like to see a project getting done as fast as possible. so we release as fast as IT’S POSSIBLE…do you expect us to release when one of our beloved staffs is in hospital? or one of our staff is depressed over his broken relationships? or the other one gets migraine attacks so often? or the other one’s crying over lost ones? NO. (this is real life and for ur information: we really had all those cases in the last 8 months)
but in the end, we want to keep our releases as fast as possible..and this “possibility” differs with our life events, our health and our mood
Q: Can you do $%$%@# anime?
A: Accepting a new project depends on 1-our interest,2-free staff,3-how many projects we currently have in our hands..(which has a direct connection with the number of free staff). you are free to ask anything but you have to keep “refusal” as an option in your mind too. and always keep that in mind: we wont refuse ur project cuz we don’t like you or any bullshit childish reasons like that, we refuse it cuz the majority of staff don’t like the anime, the anime is not in our main field of work, or simply cuz we really cant do it at the moment
(its so funny how some people spread shits about the person cuz he refused his offer to other groups in irc)
Q: If I join your group as an X, can you do my recommended project?
A: depends, cuz ur only 1 staff and you have to convince the leader(s),Encoder,TL,TLC,Editor,Timer,TS,up to 4 QCs(saizen’s minimum standard) to join your minigroup…it rarely happens like this (read above)…its not a simple deal..its not a business, its a fansub thing, understand it please
Shut up, Zegond, and just do it! It’s simple as that, right? ^^
I suspect we need to copy and paste the comment that Zegond wrote every time when someone starts to whine. 😛
That would be funny. ^^
Some people did that in the old days. (Both Private releases, and the same kind of comment Zegond showed) I also mostly still release privately when i’m not too lazy, or doing stuff with Saizen. Whiners are just stupid, we all know that, and Jugg, i told you how many times on IRC to just ignore them? ^^ Anyway, work being crazy, i’m going back once again for like a 6th day in a row for 18 hours of work… Cya guys. (Yes, I’m still alive)
I for one would like to say that I hate projects being stalled more than anything.
Unless I’m the one doing the stalling.
Sometimes you gotta vent your frustrations on the youngsters that have grown into cold, egocentric douchebags. ^^
sorry I just wanted to help. I love boxing anime
Wasn’t aimed at you, lightsavior.
lightsavior offered to help, and thus is not currently subject to flak, of course 🙂
