Hajime no Ippo: Rising – 09

Yo!

We did it! Just under 24 hours after release. πŸ˜›
This episode actually contain some pretty sweet scenes from a certain spar, but that’s not all, fasten your seatbelts Russian fans out there, because you’re in for a ride. the Ippo crew ignores the mainstream of using cool English words and start a new trend(?), using Russian gibberish instead. ^^

  1. Well done, guys! πŸ˜€

I also recognize myself from the pic (I’m to the left), as I usually look like this when qc-s are late with their reports for Captain Tsubasa. πŸ˜›

  2. lol… Thanks FroZen for the good ep and awesome pic there,,

btw konnakude ,, I remembered you when Vorg said his words to Ippo’s Mom πŸ˜€

  3. Thanks a lot for this episode!
Btw when you’ll release the batch for ippo, there is a line on 17:58, in which is just Volg without the honorific “-san”.

I myself correct it, no real complains!
And another time, thanks FroZen for this awesome anime πŸ˜€

  4. Hey i download all your Hajime no ippo files but i hate 1 thing

PLZ change volg name too Vorg-san

Because his real name is Vorg-san and not Volg-san…

  5. You know Rodney, you can switch to “Horrible-subs” if it annoys you that way! But I think they also decided to use Volg from this episode…

  6. Yeah, and Ignition-One also uses Volg, and I’m pretty sure many Ippo fans are familiar with their scanlations, so it would be stupid to change it. πŸ™‚

  7. well, I said in my post above “Vorg”, but I wasn’t sure of it, I put it just to clarify the character .. not his name’s spelling πŸ™‚

  8. Also, Infusion once went with “Vorg” in their sub of the first season of Ippo, and THAT elicited some complaints from their viewers. So I hope everyone can appreciate the type of dilemma we’re in.

  9. Yep, the confusion comes from the fansubs of the first season and the old Snoopycool manga scanlations, which called him “Vorg.” I think even the old OOP U.S. DVDs had him as “Vorg.”

It does seem he is suppose to be “Volg” however. Perhaps in reference to the globally known Volga River?
