Ashita no Joe – 18

Hi.

Long time, no see. You would expect one to have more free time over summer when school’s over, but no… At least we’re trying to not slack too much. Rainbow for example is still going strong. Ookiku Furikabutte S2 unfortunately got stuck in real life matters, though. Anyway…
So Joe is finally back, and is, together with Rikiishi and Aoyama, among others, fighting in the prisoners’ summer tournament.
Danpei is still being cold towards Joe, and I still have no clue why. ^^;

Enjoy!

  1. Thank you!! I love the classics like Ashita no Joe, I wish that more fansubbers would pick them up like you guys.
Thanks again for the release, you guys are great.

  2. Yes… Slam Dunk: 21-22@TLC 23@Editing
… but with a translator that’s been more of less offline for 2 months, and an editor that’s not really edited this summer.

  3. Yess! Ashita no joe is one of my all time favorite´s!!
Thank you so much for fansubbing this all time classic.
Keep up the good work, hope you guys do the 2 movies to some day.

    1. I wouldn’t mind subbing faster, but that’s not always possible, considering we’re doing it on our free time etc. So you’ll have to get used to our current speed.

  4. Yeah i love it good job! Just another question, where can i download slam dunk eps 21-…? I have the first 20 from saizen, is the rest available?

Grtz, keep up the good work!

  5. Thank you so much for putting a new ep of Joe out! I really appreciate the time and effort you kids put into subbing older shows. Thankfully I am patient and can wait for the good stuff. (Glad to see you helping out with Kabocha Wine too, I am enjoying that show as well).

Seriously why is Danpei so cold toward Joe now? He’s seriously had a million other reasons to be ticked at him before! Can’t wait for next ep to see Joe go up against Aoyama. Let’s see how Joe stands up to those “fearsome liver blows”.

  6. Thank you saizen for this series.
You and couple of other groups have my deepest respect for picking up such rare gems that had been ignored by other groups that mostly care for some flashy pantsu.
    Looking for tomorrow’s episode…

  7. I read it more than 15 years ago, and this is one of my favorite..
Thank you so much for the fansubs, great job..
    Keep up the good work..

  8. Been switching editors, and the new one has been catching up etc. It’s not that we’re slacking, it’s that we’re unable to work faster due to various things.

  9. Thanks for subbing this you guys~
I’m not in any hurry to see the next ep, but is there any news on when it will be ready etc?
    Glitch

  10. Also I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but I know how sub videos and whatnot. If there was a translator and I had the RAW’s I’d be glad to help :/

  11. This series is great! Thank you for the work that you have done 🙂 Projects like Joe are those which make me wish I knew how to code or Japanese the most.

  12. I heard you guys were having trouble with RAWS… i snagged the whole series up a few years back and got the old ClubberWang soft subs for episodes 1-33… if your interested in any of this let me know… might even speed things up for you 😛

  13. the ‘old’ clubberw subs? he started in 2007 like saizen did ^^

hope saizen continues this project, its great 🙂

  14. Yo sangofe !!
C’est Dedg de la Hadoken !! Juste une petite question, allez-vous continuer la série ? Passe sur mon channel, à l’occas. Merci, bon courage à tous :-))

  15. Hi!

I´m a newbie on this site, went in on it because HnG mentioned that some of the crew would help out on Ashita No Joe. That´s great! I´m a big fan of the series.

juggen: I saw that you mentioned Sweden in that Christmas topic, are you Swedish? In that case: Kul att se en annan svensk på en sån här plats 🙂

  16. “Kul att se en annan svensk på en sån här plats” = Cool to see another Swedish on a site like this?

I’m watching the CW eps, and the only real issue is crap timing. Sure would be nice if Saizen could do the series eventually.

Seriously, I am getting super exited for the next couple of eps, and there’s only five left for me to watch. The horror! I’m getting the same feeling as when I watched Hajime no Ippo.

I might try for QC, I did in ’08 where you rejected me, Juggen. =(

It’s a possibility that I might have more experience now.
