Attack on Titan – OAD 2

AoT-OAD2
And the reunion tour continues! We said we’d do it, and here it is! We’ve combined forces with Soldado Fansubs this time to bring you the titanic second OAD of Attack on Titan. This one’s not quite as serious as the last one, but I think you’ll agree, it’s still pretty intense 😀

For any of you who keep track of this stuff, this actually takes place slightly before the last OAD, slotting neatly between the fall of Shiganshina and the Battle of Trost, and it focusses almost exclusively on Jean’s backstory, with some fun moments starring Sasha thrown in for good measure. And to repeat the technical note from the previous OAD, the terminology for this episode is a hodge-podge of stuff we took from our doomed first episode of the series with Crunchyroll terms filling in the gaps.

So sit back, relax and enjoy Commander Pixis and his infinite canteens!

P.S. Thanks to our man with the plan in Japan, Skr, for going out and buying the DVD for us so we could rip it!

Attack on Titan – OAD 1

Hey guys, we’ve got the old band back together for one last reunion tour (except for maybe the second Titan special, out mid-Feb apparently, which might be our encore!) and subbed this little beauty for you. For anyone who watched the series of Attack on Titan, this OAD is a must, slotting nicely between the fall of Shiganshina and the Battle of Trost, but don’t worry, it’s not all boring exposition – you get to see this guy who has a few tricks up his sleeve previously unseen by our heroes. Watch it now to find out what they are!

Oh, and on a more technical note, we decided to run with the terminology we established in our doomed first episode release of AoT, filling in the blanks with smatterings of Crunchyroll terms (Aberrant, character names, etc) so that’s why some of our terms may be slightly different to what you’re used to. Though you’ll be happy to know that I did refrain from using “Eotens” 😉

Attack on Titan – 01 (Dropped)

And the slumbering behemoth known as Saizen awakens from its slumber and sets off on a frenzied rampage across the modern fansubbing landscape (Translation: We’ve picked up a spring season show!). So we present to you our newest offering, Attack on Titan, which is a visual feast of stunning scenery and gory bloodlust. In short, we’re jumping on the bandwagon here (in case you hadn’t noticed) but giants battering down walls and stomping on little tiny humans was too good to pass up on.

How far we’ll get into this series, we’re not actually sure. With the way streaming rules all these days, we were pretty surprised this was overlooked – but we’ve heard rumblings from the Funimation camp suggesting that they may have already bought the license. If this does turn out to be our one and only release of this series, please at least bask in the glory of the first episode as subbed by Saizen (and check out our nifty kara too!).

Looks like Funimation and Crunchyroll have finally announced their license and they’re starting their simulcasts on Sunday, apparently. We’ve released this episode as we were already pretty much done when the announcement was made, but sadly, this will be our one and only release. Thanks to everyone who got really hyped up about this, only to fall at the first hurdle, and a special thanks to triviper for putting in so much time to add all the bells and whistles that would have made for a great subbed series. Sadly, the attack ends here when we’ve barely begun.
